AFT

John,

On October 7th, I’ll be at Politics and Prose to discuss my new book Why Fascists Fear Teachers. I’m excited that I’ll be in DC and wanted to invite you to the event. I would love to see you there.

I wrote Why Fascists Fear Teachers as a love letter to teachers. Educators are under constant attack, and I hope that this examination of what teachers do, told through real-world examples, helps change the discussion.

I’m looking forward to seeing you and discussing the book.

PS: The American people are the ones who suffer when the government shuts down. This crisis was avoidable but President Trump and Republicans chose to defund healthcare rather than keep the government open. The shutdown will force hospitals to close, strip millions of their health insurance and drive up premiums for millions more. https://aftvotes.org/government-shutdown-watch
