Bonegilla Migrant Experience

Join us as the historic grounds of Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre bloom with a weekend of live music, cultural exploration and immersive experiences.

Enjoy an inspired program that brings to life timeless migrant stories of hope, resilience and new beginnings through exclusive guided tours, traditional games and a special open-air concert featuring folk and Romani inspired band, Vardos.

Gather with family and friends and step into Australia’s post-war migrant history at Spring into Bonegilla.

Come on a four-hour guided tour to uncover powerful migrant stories and hidden corners of the longest-running centre. Visit Latchford Barracks (closed to the public) to see remains and past block sites. Lunch included. Book now [[link removed]] ►

Music in the open-air with Vardos

Saturday, November 8, 4pm to 6pm

Bring a chair or rug and relax as you enjoy an afternoon of vibrant folk and Romani music, featuring the dynamic trio, Vardos. Platter orders available. Book now [[link removed]] ►

Guided tours

Scheduled on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9

Take a guided tour of Block 19 as you learn about it's fascinating history. Explore original buildings, hear shared stories and truly walk in the shoes of the 320,000 migrants who made this their first Australian home. Book now [[link removed]] ►

Games and activities for all ages

10am to 4pm each day

Reminiscent of favourite activities from the past, discover hands-on fun that will turn back time including traditional board and lawn games on offer during the event.

Devonshire tea

Available Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9

If you're feeling peckish while you're here, treat yourself to a delicious Devonshire tea. Enjoy two scones with jam and cream, served with a pot of tea.
