Hi, Friend!
On October 2, 1835, ordinary Texians at Gonzales stood their ground against tyranny with a bold message: “Come and Take It.”
That spark lit the fire of the Texas Revolution. It was the very first stand in a long fight for liberty, one that would ultimately lead to San Jacinto and Texas’ independence.
Today, nearly 200 years later, Texans face new battles. The enemies may not march under Santa Anna’s flag, but they come in the form of government overreach, open borders, Chinese land buys, and attempts to silence conservative voices.
The spirit of Gonzales lives on in True Texas Project. We refuse to bow to tyranny. We train citizens, fight for liberty at the Capitol, and hold elected officials accountable, because we believe Texas is worth defending.
But we can’t do it without you.
Will you stand with us today on this anniversary of Gonzales and make a gift of $10, $15, or even $25 to help keep Texas free?
Just like those first Texians, we don’t need overwhelming numbers or endless resources, we need courage, conviction, and faithful supporters like you.
Texas history reminds us: the fight for freedom never ends.
