“THERE ARE NO BLACK MEMBERS OF CONGRESS FROM MICHIGAN NOW. FIRST TIME IN DECADES.” |
Friend, that’s what Reverend Al Sharpton said on MSNBC. |
I am here, and I exist, whether these radicals like it or not. My name is John James. I’m a West Point graduate, Ranger-qualified Apache pilot, combat veteran, and businessman. I have a wife and two master’s degrees, and I am THE Black Congressman from Michigan. It seems they think I’m not Black because I’m a Republican. But I was raised to believe I’d be judged by the content of my character. Sadly, with guys like Al Sharpton, there’s only one way to be Black – and that’s to join his party. That’s why I’ve challenged Reverend Sharpton to come to Detroit and debate me on whether decades of Democrat control have truly helped Black families in Michigan. |
Michigan is my mission field, and service is my calling. Will you join me? |
