HTW Providers to Recertify in PEMS Starting Nov. 1

Healthy Texas Women (HTW) providers that intend to provide or continue to provide HTW services in program year 2026 (Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2026) must complete the annual recertification process. The recertification period for program year 2026 is from Nov. 1, 2025, through Dec. 31, 2025.

Providers in the HTW program that fail to recertify by allowing it to expire will receive claim denials and will not be reimbursed for HTW services.

HTW providers must also verify or update demographic and account information for each location site. It is extremely important that the information listed in the Find a Doctor search tool [ [link removed] ] available on the HTW website [ [link removed] ] is kept up to date with the most current data for providers that deliver HTW services.

Providers can complete the HTW recertification process using the Provider Enrollment and Management System (PEMS).

*Accessing PEMS*

* PEMS can be accessed online at Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) provider webpage [ [link removed] ]by clicking *My Account*.
* For online help with the recertification process, HTW providers can access the PEMS Instructions for HTW Certification and Attestation (PDF) [ [link removed] ]on TMHP HTW webpage [ [link removed] ].

*Note: *If providers select a new certification, they will get a new effective date, which may cause a gap in coverage dates.

For instructions on updating demographic information, visit the PEMS Instructional Site webpage [ [link removed] ], select *Maintenance*, select the appropriate answers for your program and provider type on the pages that follow, and then select *Maintenance - Practice Location - Demographics*.

For more information, call the TMHP Contact Center at 800-925-9126 and select option 5.
