 Republicans have folded under pressure from Trump and shut down the federal governmentinstead of working with Democrats to reach a deal. The move will halt
environmental protection while driving up costs on everything from electricity
to healthcare. Enough is enough.

government. The effects will be widespread. The EPA has now HALTED its oversight duties, freezing reviews of air and water
safeguards and ending inspections that ensure clean water in communities all
over the country. Communities everywhere could be exposed to contaminated water
with no way to know until it’s too late. Trump is threatening “mass firings”, which could endanger millions of Americans
in the middle of hurricane and fire season. At the same time, Republicans are pushing a deal that would cause health care
costs to soar as Americans face unchecked pollution. We can’t allow this to stand.Congress needs to hear from real people all over the country to demand
Republicans STOP the harmful gutting of essential services that protect our
natural resources, cherished public lands, and make life easier for everyday
