No Kings Scam Alert
As popular momentum builds for our nationwide No Kings protests on October 18, we’re starting to see deceptive scam ads, text messages, and social media posts attempting to exploit this movement for private gain. Run by grifters, these fraudulent, "false-flag" swindles harvest personal information for unknown purposes and drain money into unknown pockets. Don't be fooled!
The solution to unknown, untrusted entreaties is always to go directly to sources you know and trust, and ignore all else.
No Kings, NNU, ISF, and 50501 SF will never contact you to ask for more personal information or payment for any service. Our only signup pages are our Mobilize, Volunteer Form, and Contingent Signup. Our donation sites are our ActBlue, Venmo, and 50501 SF’s GoFundMe. RSVPs and donations are strictly voluntary and not required to attend. Also, unless you have signed up as a volunteer or a contingent point of contact, we will never text you.
