Hello John,
Last week, we welcomed leadership from across the country to talk about the pathways to getting rid of water and utility debt, once and for all. Find the recording, all of the links shared during our conversation (including to download the new Utilities for All Playbook!), and speaker bios here ([link removed]) .
We discussed the challenges: rising rates, shutoffs, and negligent decision-making by centralized energy entities like investor-owned utilities in the face of climate change. We also affirmed that our organizing is working: from Detroit to Knoxville, and from the Bay Area to zip codes across the country, real, everyday people are reimagining energy systems that work for all of us, not just the wealthy few at the top.
And, we are winning. Thanks to brave community-members across the country, we've gathered tested tactics and strategies ([link removed]) that really work so that other people can keep this movement growing.

(Top Left) Monica Lewis-Patrick of We the People of Detroit shared stories about the water and energy crises in Detroit, and the ongoing commitment to organizing in the face of rising bills during our session on Wednesday, September 24th ([link removed]) . She was joined by (clockwise, from top-right) Erica Flores (moderator) project coordinator of the Playbook, Caity Southall of Knoxville Water and Energy for All, and Jessica Tovar of Local Clean Energy Alliance.
