I needed to reach out right away: Republicans just launched an attack ad blaming me for the government shutdown.

This is infuriating.

While I was in DC working to avert a shutdown and reach a deal that centers the American people and saves healthcare, House Republicans were nowhere to be found.

In fact, Speaker Johnson sent them home early and refused to budge on the GOP’s plan that puts billionaires over hardworking people across the country.

Now, they’re targeting me for their failed leadership and the chaos they’ve created in Washington. We can’t allow their shameful attacks to go unanswered.
