Tell Congress to reject harmful cuts to health care
([link removed])
Advocate,
Congress has unfinished business — and the health of millions of Americans is on the line. ([link removed])
Right now, many families -- including those living with cystic fibrosis -- rely on enhanced Advance Premium Tax Credits (eAPTCs) to afford high-quality health insurance through the insurance marketplace. But these credits are set to expire on Dec. 31. If Congress doesn't act, marketplace insurance premiums could more than double -- rising by an average of 114% starting Jan. 1.
When coverage becomes too expensive, healthier people tend to leave the insurance pool. That drives up costs for everyone who remains, including people living with CF.

At the same time, funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is uncertain. These agencies play a vital role in the research, development, and approval of CF treatments. Continued funding is critical for continued progress -- and hope for a cure.
While Congress may have shut down the government, they still have work to do — and people with CF cannot wait. ([link removed])
Join us in calling on Congress to extend eAPTCs and provide robust funding for the NIH and FDA.

Sincerely,
David Elin
