Hey friend,
I’m Henry Cuellar, representative for Texas’ 28th congressional district, running for re-election in 2026. I want to wish you a happy Hispanic Heritage Month and tell you a little bit about myself.
Today and every day, we must come together to celebrate the vibrant culture and significant contributions of Hispanic Americans. This month, we honor the rich traditions and achievements that continue to shape our communities.

As one of eight children born to Mexican-American migrant farm workers in Laredo, I was raised on strong family values, deep faith, and a tireless work ethic. As the first in my family to attend college, I believe that education is the key that opens the door to opportunity for every child, no matter their background. I’ve always believed in hard work, lifting others up, and keeping the promise of America alive for the next generation.
That’s why we must honor the hard work that generations of Hispanic Americans have achieved. This month and always, I am committed to uplifting our communities with the resources they need to succeed. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month, friend!
