Thank you for your support in helping us finish our last FEC deadline strong.

But obviously, that isn’t the headline today.

Here is a photo from Tuesday, where Republicans refused to hold our pro-forma session. Imagine being so intent on taking away people’s healthcare and hiding the Epstein files that you shut down Congress. On the right: Democrats ready to work. On the left: empty chairs which would usually hold Republicans.

This shutdown is 100% on them. They’d rather be on vacation than solve problems.

Republican leadership thinks the public is too stupid to see through their lies. All anyone has to do is read the damn law to see that they’re lying.

While they are claiming that healthcare funds will go to unauthorized recipients, the reality is the healthcare they are cutting will have 47,000 people in my district alone see their premiums spike by over 300 percent.

I will always be willing to negotiate to do the right thing and keep our government funded, but I will never betray my neighbors, or approve any agenda that blatantly hurts our communities.
