Hi there, it’s Jennifer Konfrst.
First and foremost, I want to thank you.
I’m truly grateful for how you all showed up for me and my campaign in the lead-up to our FEC End-of-Quarter deadline.
Thanks to your incredible support, we not only met but exceeded our fundraising goals!
That sends a powerful message that we have the momentum to flip IA-03 and take back a Democratic House Majority.
But now that Zach Nunn and his Republican allies have shut down the federal government, our work has never been more important.
Because he’d rather upend critical services, cut off paychecks to federal employees, and play political games than fight to protect Iowans’ access to healthcare.
This is just more proof that Zach Nunn isn’t working for us. And that’s why I’m running for Congress.
I actually know the stakes that Iowans are facing. And I’ve not just heard about them in my conversations with voters, I’ve experienced them.
Growing up, my family didn’t have much. Despite my single mom working hard to provide for me, she still struggled to make ends meet when I was a kid.
There were a lot of times when she didn’t know how she was going to put food on the table or pay for a babysitter who watched me during her overnight shifts as a nurse.
Unfortunately, that’s a harsh reality that many of my fellow Iowans also face right now.
And shutting down the government only makes it harder for folks to keep food on the table, pay for rent, and cover healthcare costs.
I believe that our leaders should be working to uplift everyday Iowans… not using them as political pawns and treating them as bargaining chips.
And I’m ready to be that leader for Iowa’s Third Congressional District.
There’s a lot of uncertainty right now with this shutdown and what will come of it. One thing is for sure, though: I won’t stop fighting – and I know you won’t either.
I’ll keep you updated as things progress. In the meantime, though, I just wanted to let you know that I’m so glad to have you on my team.
Thank you for your ongoing support,
Jennifer Konfrst
