John,
In the biblical story of Noah’s ark, Noah receives a divine warning that a massive flood is coming and that he must quickly build an ark to save life on earth.
Defend Our Courts has found itself in a similar situation to Noah within the 2025 Pennsylvania Supreme Court election. A race that, if we lose, will cost Democrats Pennsylvania and its 19 electoral college votes for the next decade and beyond.
This summer, we received word of an impending deluge of GOP spending aimed at washing away the Democratic majority on Pennsylvania’s State Supreme Court. Before anyone else, we began ringing the alarm bells and got to work on building the ark that would save this court.
Now our worst fears have come to fruition:

To call it a flood is an understatement; what the GOP is throwing at us is nothing short of a Tsunami. They are treating this race like a presidential election.
Even in the deep blue city of Philadelphia, voters are having GOP canvassers knock their doors multiple times a day, GOP vote no ads are filling social media and TV, and mailboxes are bursting with deceptive mailers using progressive language that say voting no will “defend democracy” and “protect women.”
It is a flood of biblical proportions going down in a typically sleepy local Supreme Court race.
Defend Our Courts is scrambling to finish building the ark that will save the three Democratic justices. We’ve assembled an army of canvassers, are sending mail, and are running ads, but we need to continue scaling rapidly if we hope to be seaworthy by the day the great flood hits — Election Day, November 4, 2025.
We have 33 days left. Can we count on you to rush a donation of $50, $25, or even $5 to ensure that Democrats aren’t washed away in the life or death fight to save swing state Pennsylvania?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process now. |
Or multiply your impact with a monthly recurring donation.
As the saying goes, we're fighting like we're the third monkey on the ramp to Noah's ark... and brother, it's startin' to rain.
