Dear Friend,
On the Traditional Feast of St. Remigius, our Shepherd, Cardinal Burke, offered the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for all the intentions of the Rosary Warriors of Operation Storm Heaven, as well as for those who submitted intentions, from his private chapel in Rome.
Cardinal Burke first spoke about St. Remigius, Bishop of Reims and “Apostle of the Franks”. This holy bishop baptized King Clovis of France on Christmas Day in 496. Historically, how rich was the grace that was given at the time through this king who came to recognize, that all true royalty, all true kingship belongs to the one and only Eternal King, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
His Eminence stated: “We have a special joy and beauty during this month to celebrate the beauty and the power of this great prayer given to us by Our Lord and His Blessed Mother – the Holy Rosary.” In six days, we will celebrate the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, also known as Our Lady of Victory. The great victory in the Battle of Lepanto.
The First Saturday Devotion is vital for all Catholics.
Most importantly, Cardinal Burke again touched on the December 10 centennial anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima to the Venerable Servant of God, Sister Lucia dos Santos at the Dorothean Convent in Pontevedra, Spain. Our Lady stressed the observance of First Saturdays of the month as an act of reparation for the offenses that are inflicted upon the Sacred Heart of Jesus through our sins.
“This consciousness of how deeply sin offends Our Lord’s Most Sacred Heart and therefore, the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mother leads us to desire to make reparation.”
On the First Saturday of the Month:
~ Make a good confession for our sins.
~ Receive Holy Communion.
~ Praying five decades of the Most Holy Rosary.
~ Fifteen minutes meditation keeping company with Our Lady, recalling the great mysteries of our salvation, which we recall every time we pray the Rosary.
Remember, this coming Saturday, October 4, is First Saturday.
