Dear John,
I hope you will join us tomorrow, Friday, October 3, from 12-1 PM for our virtual Lunch and Learn: Protecting children and the planet from fashion’s plastics and chemicals addiction.

The fashion industry touches nearly every aspect of our lives, yet it remains one of the least regulated industries. Fashion brands rely heavily on thousands of chemicals and mountains of plastic to create products that most of us wear every day, putting consumers, community members, and a safe climate at risk.
Hear from Maya Rommwatt, Director of Campaigns and Programs of Defend Our Health, about their recent scorecard, which ranks ten popular kids’ clothing brands on their efforts to use less plastic and fewer toxic chemicals. She’ll explain why kids are more at risk from chemical exposures, how the fast fashion business model has created an insatiable demand for plastic clothes, and what consumers can do to try to protect themselves and push for meaningful change at the industry level.
I hope to see you tomorrow,
Maggie
