__________
YOUTH BRING THE OUTRAGE, BUT NOT TRANSFORMATION
[[link removed]]
_Aasim Sajjad Akhtar _/ Dawn (Karachi)
The youth have shown they can shake regimes — but without
organisation, ideology, and economic transformation, their fury may
only deepen the status quo.

[[link removed]]
Al Jazeera (Doha)
As many as 100,000 people in Berlin rallied in support of Palestinians
in what was Germany’s largest Gaza protest to date. The
demonstration, dubbed ‘All Eyes on Gaza’, demanded an end to
German support for Israel. Police were filmed violently arresting
participants.
__________
WORLDWIDE ACTION FOR MOTHER EARTH
[[link removed]]
350 (Boston)
Over 600+ actions took place in more than 85+ countries between
15–21 September. The mobilizations culminated in mass demonstrations
over the weekend, with at least 10,000 people coming together in
London and Toronto, 25,000 in New York and 50,000 distributed across
events throughout Germany.
__________
LEARNING FROM PEPE MUJICA
[[link removed]]
_Abigail Kret_ / NACLA Report (New York)
On September 24, activists, intellectuals, legislators, and the
presidents of Chile, Spain, and Uruguay gathered in New York City on
the sidelines of the UN General Assembly to honor the legacy of former
Uruguayan president José “Pepe” Mujica, who passed away in May
2025. Mujica’s presidency was only one chapter in an extraordinary
life.
__________
CHINA AND WOMEN’S RIGHTS
[[link removed]]
_Phoebe Zhang_ / South China Morning Post (Hong Kong)
As Beijing gears up to host a global summit on gender equality and
women’s empowerment, Chinese authorities and non-governmental
organisations have been engaging in discussions on issues ranging from
traditional family values to the rights of women in the digital age.
__________
ACTIVISTS AT THE EDGE OF THE CLIMATE ABYSS
[[link removed]]
_Didem Aydurmus_ / transform! Europe (Vienna)
The climate catastrophe demands urgent materialist politics. In her
incisive analysis, German political scientist Didem Aydurmus calls on
the left to confront food scarcity, abandon consumerist illusions, and
embrace survival-oriented strategies rooted in solidarity and science.
__________
MALI: FALSE INDEPENDENCE
[[link removed]]
_Sinamban Coulibaly_ / Alternative Viewpoint
After Choguel Kokala Malga became prime minister during the second
state of emergency in May 2021, the government focused on discrediting
political parties and civil society. After they dissolved parties and
associations, the security situation and the repression within the
army have exposed the despotic and freedom-destroying nature of the
regime, even to those who may not fully grasp it.
__________
UKRAINE, PALESTINE AND THE LEFT
[[link removed]]
_Kavita Krishnan_ / Europe Solidaire Sans Frontières (Paris)
Last month, left-wing activists held a demonstration in Kyiv, chanting
“From Ukraine to Palestine, occupation is a crime and liberation is
our aim” and unfurling the flags of both Ukraine and Palestine as a
sign of mutual support between the two nations, which are facing
imperialist invasions and experiencing the occupation of their
internationally recognized territories.
__________
TRI-PEOPLE STATEMENT AGAINST CORRUPTION IN THE RP
[[link removed]]
_Ten Activist Organizations in Philippines_ / Europe Solidaire Sans
Frontières
Corruption is not merely the misappropriation of public funds; it is
violence. It is the betrayal of our right to live with dignity. In our
communities, it means flood control projects that never materialize,
drainage systems left unfinished, and billions lost to kickbacks,
while families wade through waist-deep waters and watch their crops
rot, homes and livelihoods drown. Lives are buried and washed away.
