Donald Trump has always had an anti-science bent, but the president’s fears of the facts seem to have escalated recently -- with Trump having now completely shunned the nation’s leading infectious disease expert in the middle of a pandemic.
The Guardian reports that Dr. Anthony Fauci hasn’t spoken with Trump since May 18. It seems that Trump doesn’t want Dr. Fauci -- whose approval rating topped the president's by almost 30 points -- getting any more airtime with the American public.
