Republicans played political games, John — forcing our government into a shutdown.

Here’s what’s at stake for OH-13:

• Health care: More than 29,000 of our neighbors in OH-13 rely on Affordable Care Act benefits. If subsidies lapse due to the GOP’s inaction, premiums will spike. And if people can’t afford their health care, we’re moving in the wrong direction.
• Our troops and families: We need to pass the Pay Our Troops Act to make sure service members are paid during the shutdown, and the Feed Our Families Act to keep SNAP and other nutrition programs running.
• Seniors & Veterans: Social Security offices, Medicare, Medicaid, and the Department of Veterans Affairs will all see delays that directly harm the people who depend on them most.

I want you to know where I stand, John. I will always fight for the best deal for OH-13 — not political games, not Trump’s power plays, but the health and security of the people I serve.
