In The States
  • New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced that New Mexico will become the first state in the nation to guarantee no-cost universal child care starting November 1st!
  • Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont, Delaware Gov. Matt Meyer, Hawaii Gov. Josh Green, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, Maine Gov. Janet Mills, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek, Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson, and Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers have all taken steps to ensure vaccine access and protect public health care in their states through executive action, interstate collaboration, funding, and more.
  • Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek, and Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson have taken action to understand and mitigate the harm caused by President Trump’s tariffs in their states. ​
  • California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the Election Rigging Response Act, giving Californians the power to push back on Donald Trump’s Republican gerrymandering.
  • Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro announced that they, along with 22 state attorneys general and the District of Columbia, successfully secured all of the funding the Trump administration tried to halt when dismantling the public service agency AmeriCorps.
On the Trail
  • Early voting has begun in Virginia’s gubernatorial race! Our Democratic candidate Abigail Spanberger kicked it off by casting her own ballot and meeting with voters on day one of early voting.
  • New Jersey held a gubernatorial debate, and Mikie Sherrill laid out her plans to lower costs for New Jerseyans as governor – proving why she’s the best choice to lead her state.
Online & On the Air
  • Maine Gov. Janet Mills, Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, and Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey went on MSNBC to talk about how they’re protecting health care coverage while Donald Trump works to rip it away.
  • Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker joined Jen Psaki on MSNBC to speak out against Donald Trump’s attacks on the media and First Amendment.
  • North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein headed to Capitol Hill to advocate for federal funding for Hurricane Helene recovery, talking to a bipartisan group of lawmakers to help western NC get the resources they need to rebuild.
