Ensuring Habitable Rental Housing in Unincorporated Areas
Rental Properties [ [link removed] ]

*The Rental Housing Habitability Program [ [link removed] ]* (RHHP) aims to ensure rental units meet habitability standards, support property values, and provide safe living conditions. It is important for landlords and renters in *unincorporated* Los Angeles County communities to be aware this program, especially in areas where wildfires have impacted the conditions of rental properties.

RHHP is authorized to respond to tenant complaints.

The likelihood of smoke damage from the *Eaton Fire*, including fire-related ash and soot in and around a rental housing property and/or a lingering smell of smoke, may present a health and safety risk to tenants and requires professional evaluation [ [link removed] ].
