John, this is urgent:

Congress missed its deadline to pass a funding agreement, which has shut down the federal government.

If the shutdown continues, schools may need to rely on emergency funds to keep meal programs running, and federal nutrition programs could face disruptions — making it difficult for millions of American families to put food on the table.

That means millions more kids could soon go hungry across the country.

The administration should immediately release contingency funds and provide guidance on spending flexibility to state agencies so families across our country can continue to receive critical nutrition assistance until an agreement is reached. And Congress should swiftly pass a bipartisan bill that fully funds crucial nutrition programs so we can continue investing in our kids’ futures.

Our children deserve better than to be at risk of hunger because the government failed to reach an agreement. So now, it’s up to us to fill this gap.

If you’re able, please, John: Give now to support meal and nutrition assistance programs to help prevent children from going hungry at this critical time.

Thank you for helping children and families avoid hunger.
