Assalamu Alaikum John, Early voting has started for Virginia’s 2025 general election, and our team is busy on all fronts by supporting our endorsed candidates, connecting with our community, and fighting for issues impacting them.
In case you missed it, here’s our 2025 endorsement slate. We are proud to support these candidates in key races in Virginia who share our commitment to justice, equity, and inclusive representation. Let’s get behind them and make a plan to vote! |

These candidates need our support, so we’ve officially kicked off our voter mobilization efforts. That includes door-knocking across Virginia and tabling at events, like recently at Souq Social. Whether it’s door knocking or tabling, conversations about issues that matter to people and the importance of civic engagement are at the core of our community engagement. These one-on-one conversations are powerful, and they’re going to make all the difference come November. |

As we get closer to the election, we are ramping up our canvassing efforts. We are happy to announce that we are having a community canvass launch this Saturday at [time], [place] to get the vote out for Ghazala Hashmi, for Lieutenant Governor, and Jay Jones, for Attorney General. This is your chance to connect with voters and make a difference! Spread the word, and we hope to see you there! |
In addition to canvassing, we’ve been helping fuel these campaigns by hosting fundraisers for our statewide candidates, Ghazala Hashmi, for Lieutenant Governor, and Jay Jones, for Attorney General. These gatherings weren’t just about raising money; they were about bringing our community together around candidates who share our values and vision for Virginia.
It was inspiring to see so many people show up, contribute, and show real excitement about supporting leaders who are ready to fight for us. |
|
|
On top of that, we’ve also stayed active in engaging and holding our elected officials accountable. We recently had meetings with Congressional offices about the ongoing crisis in Palestine, making sure that the voices of our community are part of the conversation with lawmakers. |
