Friend,
This week I helped kick off the construction to expand CMC, cut the ribbon on a new business in the Millyard, and opened a new soccer mini-pitch in the heart of Manchester. There is an energy of progress right now in the Queen City as new businesses open their doors, existing businesses grow, and the community comes together to give back to their city. The city is moving in the right direction as we come together to do the work required to deliver results and grow our city. I'm excited for the progress we're seeing in, and I appreciate all the ways you're pitching in to help build a stronger Manchester.
Thank you for your continued support!
Best,
Joyce

Remind Your College Student to Vote!

Manchester college students!
If you're registered to vote in Manchester but will be absent and unable to vote in person for the city primary election (Sept. 17), you can request an absentee ballot at City Hall and fill out your ballot right there. While you're there you can also request an absentee ballot be sent to you for the general election (Nov. 5).
If you're not registered to vote, you can register and request an absentee ballot at City Hall at the same time. (Make sure to bring a photo ID with you).
Sarah will be absent for the primary and general elections, so she voted for the primary and completed her absentee ballot requests for the general at City Hall. It was easy and took about 5 minutes.
Make sure you put it on your to-do list before leaving for college! Good luck and have a great year!

On Saturday morning, I joined Manchester School of Technology students at PlaneFest to celebrate a new program at MST next year where students will build a fully-functioning airplane during the school year.
This innovative plane-building program is happening because of collaboration between businesses, non-profits and community partners. I'd like to thank the Aviation Museum of NH, Tango Flight, MST and others who made this program possible. I look forward to seeing the plane make its first flight next summer!

We had a great time canvassing in ward 6 on Saturday! We had a lot of good conversations with people out in their yards making the most of their weekends, and even saw a turkey walking down the middle of the street. On Sunday, we had a great group of supporters come to our canvass launch with Senator Amy Klobuchar.

On Tuesday morning we kicked off the construction of Catholic Medical Center's new expansion.
I'm thankful for this partnership with CMC to increase health access in our city. This investment is a critical part of our economic development and will be a gateway into the westside.

On Tuesday, I had the opportunity to visit the Elmwood Gardens Community Barbecue, hosted by the HOPE New Hampshire program.
I loved talking about my experience growing up in Manchester, and that regardless of circumstances, there will always be people in the city to help you succeed.
I'd like to thank Manchester NH Police and Alderman Bill Barry for attending as well -- it was a great night full of hot dogs, hamburgers, and basketball.
155 Collective Ribbon Cutting
[[link removed]]
On Thursday evening, I helped cut the ribbon on the 155 Collective—a spa, a salon, and yoga studio in the Millyard. It's so fantastic to be cutting the ribbon for a business run and started by 8 strong and wonderful women. We're so thrilled that you chose to open your business in Manchester.
Sheehan-Basquil Mini-Pitch

During my State of the City in 2018, I announced Southern New Hampshire University was partnering with Major League Soccer and the U.S. Soccer Foundation to bring a mini-pitch into Manchester at no cost to residents.
On Thursday, we cut the ribbon on the field, located in Sheehan-Basquil Park. As a result, we now have a place where local youth can play soccer on a world-class mini-pitch. It's a great day in the Queen City!

Letter: Craig Delivers
Among the skills required of a successful chief executive is her/his ability to stay focused on many issues, and not just the high-profile ones.
This latter category is what “makes the news,” however, it is not often that attention is given to other items that will make a difference in the quality of life for the citizens of a community.
Here in Manchester, we are most fortunate to have Joyce Craig as our chief executive, who delivers on her commitments... [Read More] [[link removed]]

We had an incredible team of interns from six high schools and universities support our campaign this summer. They did everything from knocking doors and making phone calls to managing campaign data, collecting nominating petitions, staffing events, beautifying our city & office, and training each other to be effective volunteers! We are so happy and grateful to have seen them grow over the campaign and make such a huge impact on the future of Manchester.
As we say good-bye to our summer class, we are looking for some fun, dedicated, and enthusiastic people to join our fall intern class. Sign up here: [link removed] [[link removed]]
