Tell Republican leaders in Congress: REOPEN the government by passing a
spending bill that reverses health care cuts

Hi Friend,

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE! President Trump and Republicans in Congress just
shut down the government as they continue to push a partisan spending bill
that will cause Americans’ health care costs to soar.

[ [link removed] ]SIGN to tell Republican leaders in Congress: Reopen the government by
passing a funding bill that reverses the cuts to our health care, keeps
hospitals open, lowers the rising costs weighing down Americans, and saves
our health care!

**Time’s up! The shutdown clock has started, and instead of passing a
funding bill  that saves our health care – Republicans decided to shut
down the government.

Don’t be fooled by the spin. Republicans have all the power to pass a
spending bill that reverses the harmful cuts to health care that are
negatively impacting millions of people across the nation – and across all
political parties.

[ [link removed] ]It doesn’t have to be this way.  In fact, Republicans currently control
the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and the Executive Branch—and right now, our
country is in the midst of a Republican-created health care crisis that is
only getting worse. Republicans in Congress have created this totally
manufactured, preventable crisis that will hurt our families, workers
(especially military and government workers), veterans, children, and our
economy as a whole. Government shutdowns are a total failure of
governance. And instead of trying to build momentum for a bipartisan
funding bill, President Trump is avoiding meetings and posting AI
generated videos insulting and mocking Democratic leaders in Congress!
[1]  Republican administration officials are scrambling to do antics like
posting partisan banners on government websites over doing their jobs,
leaving our kids, families, communities, and our economy to pay for their
failure to govern. [2]

[ [link removed] ]SIGN NOW: It’s well past time for Republican leaders in Congress and
President Trump to do their job and pass a spending bill that saves our
health care and reopens the government.

A government shutdown is not a negotiating tactic—it’s a real threat to
the livelihoods and well-being of millions of people, to our communities,
and to our economy. It will disrupt the jobs of millions of workers,
individuals, and businesses. [3] Federal employees’ paychecks will now be
paused, while everyday costs are skyrocketing. People navigating
government services and benefits systems will face long wait times or get
no assistance at all while trying to access services they are entitled to
receive. Essential government services may be stopped altogether.

Democrats in Congress have been clear that they remain ready to work with
Republicans and negotiate a solution to turn this around and protect
health care for millions of people. It’s still possible to reverse massive
health care cuts, lower costs, and save our health care—while minimizing
harm inflicted by a government shutdown.

[ [link removed] ]Your voice is urgently needed! Republicans in Congress need to hear
from people like you NOW and in huge numbers demanding they fix the health
care crisis they are creating. No more games. No more kicking the can down
the road. [ [link removed] ]Share this petition with friends, families, and neighbors to
make sure we pass a funding bill that saves our health care!

Together we are a powerful voice for families.
