The Trump administration decided to shut down the government rather than give the American people healthcare.

We won’t negotiate with neo-segregationists. Neo-segregation isn’t about “separate water fountains” — it’s about policies that starve Black communities of the resources we need to live and thrive. Trump’s budget is just that: an attack that protects the wealthy, while cutting the programs our families rely on. This government shutdown will hurt, but a budget that slashes Medicare and deliberately locks Black people out of opportunity is not a compromise we can accept.
