Dear A.,
48 hostages spent yet another night in captivity as Hamas has still not yet responded to the peace plan offered by President Trump and supported by Israel, Arab states, and the Palestinian Authority.
This painful war is only continuing today because of Hamas. Qatar, Turkey and Egypt are

reportedly urging Hamas "to give a positive response" to the plan. Qatar and Turkey are both key sponsors of the terrorist organization.
In a speech yesterday, President Trump said that Hamas "will pay in hell" if they don't accept the deal.
Further reports

indicate that Hamas will respond within the next few days, but is likely to seek changes to the agreement.
Trump told reporters that there is "not much" room to negotiate with Hamas, adding, "We want the hostages back immediately, and we want some good behavior... You don't get simpler."
Meanwhile, pro-Israel Democrats and Republicans are continuing to publicly stand with Israel and urge Hamas to take the deal, while the most hostile critics of Israel and loudest voices calling for a "Ceasefire Now" have largely been silent.
Senator Tom Cotton

said yesterday, "President Trump’s peace plan will end the war in Gaza. Arab states are in. Israel is in," but, he adds, while "Bernie Sanders & Chris Van Hollen have spent years vilifying Israel and demanding an end to the war... now they’re silent."

Treasury issues new sanctions on Iran
The Treasury Department today announced that it was designating 21 entities and 17 individuals involved in Iran’s effort to procure technology for surface-to-air missiles and the illicit purchase of a U.S.-manufactured helicopter.
"Iran’s ballistic missile and conventional weapons capabilities, supported by the networks designated today, pose a significant threat to U.S. service members in the Middle East, U.S. commercial ships transiting international waters, and civilians," the press release
