Good morning Young Democrats,

CYD extended the cheapest $5 Early Registration rate through this Friday for our upcoming CYD State Leadership Committee (SLC) meeting ([link removed]) , taking place October 24th - 26th, in Monterey! This rate expires after Friday, and we will not extend this record low price again; get more details now and register for only $5 ([link removed]) , before prices increase!

We have also released the tentative schedule of events for CYD’s meetings, which can be viewed here ([link removed]) . We are working to confirm guest speakers and locations. I hope you will register and attend ([link removed]) so that I see you in Monterey!

We had a great turnout last night at CYD’s first virtual phonebank to support passing Proposition 50. Thank you to all of the young Democrats who turned out to make this first phonebank a success!

I also hope you can join CYD for one of our upcoming canvass events ([link removed]) to support YES on Prop 50! Our next mobilization is a precinct walk this Sunday, October 5th at 10am in Sacramento, and we have more canvassing events the following weekends in Fresno, San Francisco, Orange, and Monterey. We must pass Prop 50 to protect our democracy and stop extremist MAGA Republicans from unwinding a century of economic and social progress. Together we can and will pass Prop 50.

CYD STATE LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING NOTICE: Per CYD’s Bylaws ([link removed]) , the CYD State Leadership Committee (SLC) will convene on October 25, 2025, in Monterey, CA, to consider CYD Resolutions and endorsements of young Democrats running for local political offices. CYD’s Policy & Legislation Committee, Political Affairs Committee, Platform Committee, and Rules Committee will be scheduled to meet either October 24th or October 25th at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa (1 Old Golf Course Rd, Monterey, CA, 93940).
