Dear John,

In Colombia’s Middle Magdalena Valley, irreplaceable forest, wetlands and wildlife urgently need your help.

We currently have a once in a lifetime opportunity to save 1,495 hectares (3,694 acres) of highly threatened land from destruction by bringing it under the protection of the El Silencio reserve, before it’s lost forever to deforestation.

If you donate to the appeal during our Big Match Fortnight (1 – 15 October), your generous donation will be tripled in value. That means a £25 donation from you could be matched to make a £75 contribution overall, tripling your impact towards our £2.2 million fundraising target.

With your support, our partner Fundación Biodiversa Colombia (FBC) will expand their El Silencio reserve through the purchase of two neighbouring properties and fund two new rangers to patrol this vital land.
