Hello John, <[link removed]> <[link removed]>
I just got home after watching Jacinda’s speech at our election-year Congress, and all I can say is ‘wow’!
There was so much to love about her speech, but for me, the most powerful part was when she spoke about the collective action of our team of 5 million:
There wasn’t a playbook for COVID. There wasn’t a playbook for the recovery. And speaking frankly, there hasn’t been one for much of what has happened this term.
But as a team of 5 million we have achieved so much anyway.
We have shown grit and determination.
We have shown unity.
We have shown a commitment to supporting one another.
And Labour has been there every step of the way.
So today my ask of you is simple.
Don’t put on the brakes when now more than ever is the time that we need to speed up.
When we need to put people at the centre of our recovery.
When we need to do what Labour has always done.
So let’s keep up the momentum.
Let’s keep rolling out our plan.
Let’s keep rebuilding.
Let’s keep moving.
I’m so proud to be one of that team of 5 million, and to be campaigning alongside Jacinda this campaign. I hope you are too. And today, as your Campaign Chair, I’d like to ask you to help us win in September, and allow us to keep New Zealand moving.
Will you donate to our 2020 election campaign fund today?
Yes - I'll donate now <[link removed]>No - Not today <[link removed]>I know not everyone is able to donate. And I know that many people donate more in the knowledge of that, because they understand our movement is made up of people of varying levels of incomes and ability to give. There are also many other ways to get involved. <[link removed]>
But as Campaign Chair, I know that at this stage in the campaign, the most vital thing is building our fund so we can roll-out the best possible campaign. So thank you, if you are able to give - no matter how much you’re able to chip-in. <[link removed]>
Together, I know we can build that fund, take on the National Party and their negative attacks in September, and ultimately, keep New Zealand moving.
Thank you,
Megan Woods
General Election Campaign Chair

A short note on donations:
John, recently our focus has been on helping communities through COVID-19. It wasn’t a time for political campaigning, but instead a time for concentrating on the welfare of our communities.
This was absolutely the right decision. But pausing our campaign meant we also put all of our fundraising activity on hold too. So now we’ve restarted our campaign, we’re asking for the help of supporters to help get us back on track.
We recognise that not everyone is in a position to make a financial contribution, and there are many other ways to support our movement. However, if you are able to, please click the button below to make a donation to our campaign fund today.
