Fellow American,

I wanted to take a moment to say Hi.

Launching a campaign isn't easy, but as an Air Force Veteran running against a career politician who's stood lockstep with the Democrats for years and is standing in the way of the America First agenda, the hard work is worth it.

But, before we get too deep into the politics of things, let me tell you a bit about myself. I know there's a lot of information here, so if you'd like to skip to why I'm emailing you, just scroll down until you see the big text.

DeSpain for Congress

I served our nation for 30 years in the United States Air Force, the Air Force Reserve, and the Oregon Air National Guard, retiring as a Colonel.

For 20 of those years, I served as a lawyer with the Judge Advocate General's Corps in various locations and deployments, including Singapore, Bosnia, Kosovo, Cyprus, Italy, the Pentagon, and Oregon. I developed policy, handled investigations, managed litigation, and advised senior commanders on military justice and ethics.

There's a list of things I learned in the service, but above all, I became a problem solver. I took that work ethic home with me, and I used what I learned in the Air Force to serve my family and my community.

Concurrent with my military service, I worked as a legal consultant for a full spectrum of business and family matters, including policy development, Veterans' affairs, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. I volunteered for ten years as a Board Member, President, and Mediator with the Center for Dialogue & Resolution in Eugene, Oregon.

Following my retirement from the military in 2019, I joined the Kevin Mannix Law Firm and pursued legal causes fighting for the rights of crime victims, business owners, and other Oregonians. In 2022, I joined the non-profit Common Sense for Oregon, where I worked to formulate policies that would better serve Oregonians and improve public policies to address rampant homelessness, addiction, and crime in Oregon communities.

Here's why I'm running for Congress:

We need a fighter in Washington who will roll up her sleeves and deliver results for Oregonians. Career politicians are all talk with no results, and while the problems facing Oregon continue to grow, we, the people, have been ignored.

I will deliver results. I'm talking about policies that reduce crime, tackle the homeless crisis, stop the flow of deadly drugs into Oregon from our southern border, and bring back a prosperous economy.

I'm an Air Force veteran, a single mom, and a fighter. I won't let you down, but first…

I'm HUMBLY asking for your support.

I know times can get tough, but as a single mother of two, I'm no stranger to pinching pennies where you can.

If we want our children and the next generation of Americans to live in a country where they can have their own slice of the American dream, we must make some sacrifices.

Can you spare $5, $10, $25, or anything you may have lying around and make a small-dollar sacrifice to help me expand our majority in Congress, and kick a Democrat out of office?
