Dear friend of Bull Moose:

Apple cider, falling leaves, and continuing resolutions. That’s right: it’s October in Washington. There are less than three months to go in the year - and while there will be plenty to do as 2025 comes to a close, I thought we’d take a moment to go through how we spent the last three months.

As the legislative season ramps up, we’ve been in close contact with congressional committees and offices about upcoming legislative efforts, including a potential reconciliation bill. We were particularly excited to present ([link removed]) our priorities for a second reconciliation bill to the Republican Study Committee. Want to discuss your office’s legislative priorities? Email us at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) .

We were also pleased to support several bills and were gratified to be the only group supporting ([link removed]) Rep. Brandon Gill’s DC Juvenile Sentencing Reform Act, which recently passed the House of Representatives. We look forward to pursuing Senate passage.

I also lent my support ([link removed]) to Assistant Attorney General Gail Slater’s efforts to prosecute Google’s illegal monopoly.

We finish a report on a crucial but underappreciated issue: addressing America’s security issues with drones ([link removed]) and foreign owned land.

We filed a letter ([link removed]) in support of FCC Chairman Brendan Carr’s “Delete, Delete, Delete” initiative to streamline the FCC’s removal of obsolete and outdated rules from the Commission.

Anthony also filed a comment ([link removed]) to the USTR on China's long history of non-compliance with its WTO commitments.

I appeared on a raft of TV and radio shows – the Brett Winterble Show ([link removed]) , Steve Gruber Show ([link removed]) , Julie Mason Show ([link removed]) , and local WFEA Radio ([link removed]) – to discuss my Daily Caller op-ed ([link removed]) on the announced Union Pacific/Norfolk Southern merger.

I also appeared on Open Range ([link removed]) to talk about education, the Big Beautiful Bill, and what “fair markets” means to the Bull Moose Project.

As the Trump administration was coming under attack from progressives for their efforts to reform the Smithsonian Institution, we were proud to lead a coalition letter ([link removed]) in support of their efforts, including by highlighting previously unreported far-left exhibits. Our new policy analyst, Anthony Constantini ([link removed]) – who we brought on-board in mid-August – went into detail on these issues in an op-ed for The Hill ([link removed]) .

We have some big plans for expansions early next year, including a series of intra-coalitional policy debates (or discussions) we plan on hosting – so look out for those and more events (and let us know if you’re interested in co-hosting a debate on your favorite issue).

In the meantime, be sure to RSVP to our Bull Moose Day cocktail hour on October 14th. That day, 113 years ago, Theodore Roosevelt declared himself a “bull moose” – and we think that’s worth celebrating. Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP here ([link removed]) .

Thank you for following our work. You can read a more detailed update on our quarter here ([link removed]) .

Sincerely,

Aiden Buzzetti
