Happy Independence Day, John.

I’m proud to join you and millions of Americans across the country in celebrating the Fourth of July this year. As we commemorate our independence, it’s imperative we keep fighting for progress for all those who face injustices and inequalities in our society.

As a Navy Veteran, a Congressman, a father, and a husband -- I’m fighting to give a voice to the voiceless, to uplift working families and communities across the nation, and to fight for issues that affect everyone, like defending our democracy and creating a better future for our children.

We’re fortunate, John, to be able to celebrate our collective freedoms today and every day. I’m so proud to continue working to move our country forward -- and I’m proud to know that as a member of Team Cisneros, you are too.
