These include programs like our:

Neighborhood Leader Program: In 2017, the DPO adopted this innovative program to increase grassroots outreach and voter turnout efforts statewide. In 2024, voters contacted through Neighborhood Leaders had a turnout rate of 93.5%, which was 18% higher than Oregon’s overall turnout. Now, we have 3,549 Neighborhood Leaders in 28 counties who are ready to mobilize Democrats and get out the vote in 2025 and 2026! Donate to help us increase voter turnout. 

Local Elections Project: Since 2013, the DPO has built this powerful program to elect Democrats to local offices and grow the Democratic bench for now and years to come. We’ve run extensive regional and online training to help recruit progressive candidates and give them the skills to run successful campaigns. Since this program began, we’ve trained over 737 campaign activists in 29 counties, supported 764 campaigns, and helped elect 471 Democrats to office. While others have written off parts of our state, we have won races in all 36 counties for the last two local elections. Donate to help us train candidates and campaign activists that power our Democratic campaigns. 

Election Protection Program: Founded in 2006, this program ensures every voter can cast a ballot and every vote is counted. In 2024, 32 counties participated, with 509 volunteer election observers covering more than 99% of Oregon’s registered voters. As Trump and his allies escalate attacks on vote-by-mail — including a lawsuit this month to access private voter data — this program is more critical than ever. Donate to help us make sure every vote is counted and every voter counts! 

These programs are a major factor why Oregon ranks among the highest in Democratic turnout in the country with 87% in 2024. And once again in 2026 these programs will help us drive voter turnout and re-elect Senator Jeff Merkley, Governor Tina Kotek, and our great Democratic congressional delegation – Suzanne Bonamici, Val Hoyle, Andrea Salinas, Janelle Bynum, and Maxine Dexter. We must also protect and expand our critical legislative majorities.
