Happy Fourth of July, John.
This year, today’s holiday falls during a challenging time for our country as we grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic, an economic downturn, and protests for racial justice.
But even through dark times, we have never lost sight of how much we have accomplished as a nation. Today I am reminded of the many difficult inflection points we’ve had in our history that ultimately brought the American people together and strengthened our democracy.
I believe that it’s incumbent on all of us to listen and find better ways to make sure each and every one of us is equally represented. That means ensuring that everyone has a voice and opportunity to attain the American dream through hard work and dedication.
From my family to yours, Happy Fourth of July. It’s my honor to represent the 49th district.
