** What’s new at PAWS
------------------------------------------------------------

The last wave of kitten season has peaked, and the numbers keep climbing. Kittens are coming into PAWS through every branch of our work—stray kittens dumped at our doorstep, kittens picked up by our Community Outreach team, and kittens dropped off at Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC), the city impoundment facility.

** You saved Boots
------------------------------------------------------------

When 5-month-old Boots was found sick and alone on the streets, his future looked uncertain—until a lifesaving rescue changed everything.

Our in-house veterinary capabilities made us the perfect place for Boots to rest his paws and let us take care of the hard work ahead.

Cutler was just three months old when she was first adopted from PAWS. 10 years later, Cutler returned to PAWS when her owner faced tragedy and could no longer care for her, but her second chapter was just beginning.

Westfield Old Orchard Adoption Event

Adoptable puppies are headed to Westfield Old Orchard Mall on Saturday, October 4, in search of homes! Come by to shake paws with them all from noon–3:00 pm.

Join us at our Medical Center in Little Village on Sunday, October 19 to learn about all the ways you can help homeless pets through volunteering and fostering.

** Donation drive at the United Center

Ice Cube, Live Nation, and the United Center will be collecting donations for PAWS Chicago at the upcoming Ice Cube concert on Monday, October 6^th. If you’re attending the show, or nearby, drop off food, toys, or other dog and cat supplies to benefit PAWS Chicago at Gates 2 ½ or 6 ½. You can find our most needed items on our Amazon wishlist!

An irresistibly adorable, bonded pair of PAWS pups made their television debut this month on the Pet of the Week segment on CBS.
