Every day, the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress remind us why it’s so important to take back the House in 2026. Today, they would rather shut down the government and surrender the power of Congress to direct federal spending (among other things) than work with Democrats to lower costs and protect health care for people in Texas and across the country.
We are on the verge of a government shutdown tonight at midnight, and House Republicans are not in Washington to do anything about it.
Republicans are in charge in the House, in the Senate, and in the White House. If the government shuts down, it’s on them. But it hurts all of us. And it reminds us why it’s so important that we take back the House. (And the Senate and the White House.)
And with that in mind, thank you to everyone who has contributed to our efforts to do so this week, this month, this quarter, and this eventful year. We are making good progress toward our financial goal and our ultimate goal of taking back the House in 2026. That progress is a testament to you, your support, and the coalition we’ve built together over the past three elections.
