** How Will A Government Shutdown Affect Processing
------------------------------------------------------------
As a government shutdown looms, how will it affect ATF’s processing of NFA transfer applications? ASA is working closely with government officials to minimize the impact of a shutdown, but this stands as a stark reminder of why ASA is determined to remove suppressors from the NFA once and for all. Your constitutional rights should NEVER be denied at the discretion of the government and their self-imposed decision to shut down! Support ASA and our work to remove suppressors from the NFA!
Here is what we know:
* The eForms system will remain online and continue to accept new submissions, including tax payments and certifications.
* During the shutdown, pending applications will not be processed or approved.
* ASA is working closely with the Executive Branch to limit any stoppage in processing beyond a few days.

** NEW: ATF Form 20 (5320.20) Added To eForms
------------------------------------------------------------
Though not required for temporary interstate movement of suppressors, if you are crossing state lines with an SBR, SBS, Destructive Device or Machinegun, or permanently moving a suppressor to a new state, an approved ATF Form 20 (5320.20) is required. As of today, the Form 20 is now available to be completed through the eForms system, rather than submitting it on paper. Applicants will need to have the control number of the original approved transfer form (Form 1 or Form 4) to validate that they are the legal possessor of the item when submitting via eForms.
