I’m glad I could catch you tonight. I know we have been in touch quite a bit this week, so I’ll get right to the point.

Midnight marks my FEC fundraising deadline, where my team and I are working hard to send a strong message about what our campaign is made of.

As it stands, we’re about $3,146 short of our quarterly goal. With just a few more grassroots contributions, we’ll be able to show real strength on this report.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t ask one last time: will you make a last-minute donation before midnight to help us reach our goal? Yours could be the one that puts us over the hump.

I have never lost sight of the fact that being in Congress isn’t about politics – it is about helping out my neighbors every day.

Unfortunately, it's clear that this brand of MAGA Republicans, from the White House to the Speaker of the House, have little interest in passing legislation – or governing in a democratic fashion at all, really. They’ve forced us to the brink of a government shutdown despite having full control of all three branches of government.

It truly is shameless. And here’s the kicker: shutdown or not, the GOP is still recruiting candidates to try to take this seat. Because they don’t care about improving lives, only gaining total control of ours.

The best way we can push back on their dangerous agenda is by relegating them back into the minority. And there are very few pathways to winning back the House without keeping Illinois’ 17th District blue.

So friend, will you send a strong message that we’re well-prepared to defend this seat? Here’s that link one more time: [link removed]
Thank you in advance, and here’s to ending this nightmare.
