I want to take a moment to thank you for your support, especially these past few weeks with our big FEC goal. I’m so grateful to have supporters who are committed to working together to address the economic, social, and health injustices in our country.

Not only did we surpass our end of quarter goal, but we showed Trump’s allies, and our far-right Republican opponent, just how strong our campaign is.

I also wanted to wish you a happy 4th of July! I know this year may look different than previous celebrations, but its core, patriotism, is still there.

Patriotism means loving this country enough to help it move forward towards justice and true equality. It means loving your neighbor enough to take precautions to fight this pandemic. Patriotism means loving our flag enough to constantly work towards perfecting the freedom it should symbolize.

July 4th is an opportunity for us to reflect on how far along our country has come while knowing that there is still such a long way to go to achieve everything the founders started nearly 250 years ago.

We still have a long way to go — but I know that we can move Florida and our country in a better direction together.
