Dear
Friend,
As an early career researcher, thereβs nothing more exciting than being part of a team pushing the boundaries of whatβs possibly in epilepsy research. Β
I am a PhD candidate and researcher working under CURE Epilepsy grantee Dr. Rachel June Smith at the University of Alabama at Birminghamβs Neural Signal Processing and Modeling Lab. Iβm working on a way to simulate brain network responses in intracranial EEG and MEG data to develop non-invasive tools to detect where seizures startβ technologies that could one day predict seizure onset zones more effectively and efficiently.
Because federal funding for epilepsy research is facing drastic cuts, support from CURE Epilepsy β and donors like you β is essential to keep my work moving forward. Your gift today keeps research like mine going β and allows early-career researchers like me to excel in the lab, where we can collaborate to advance epilepsy research.
