Republican politicians want to make it impossible for a Democrat like me to win my district.

Not more difficult. Impossible.

This is Congresswoman Sharice Davids from Kansas’ 3rd Congressional district — and Donald Trump has made it his number one priority to gerrymander me out of office.

But John, I didn’t flip this seat from red to blue by running scared when the going got tough, and I’m not going to start now. I’m more energized than ever to defend this seat — and our democracy — from the far-right, but I need you standing with me to do it. There’s a pretty obvious reason why Donald Trump wants me out of Congress: I don’t fit his mold of what a “Kansas politician” should look like.

And John, he’s right. I do stand out in Washington — and I’m proud of it. I’m the first LGBTQ+ Native American woman ever elected to Congress. I was raised by a single Army mom, paid my own way through college, and even had a career as an MMA fighter before I ran for elected office.

Maybe that background doesn’t make me a “typical” politician. But I think that’s a good thing.

But Donald Trump disagrees. Instead, he wants to end all competitive Congressional elections in Kansas and install a hand-picked, far-right extremist in my place.

Kansas Republicans know they can’t win my district here in Kansas unless they cheat, so they’re trying to stack the deck and pray that we won’t notice. That’s why I need your help.
