Last month, Americans United for Life (AUL) acquired the Center for Client Safety (CCS), providing our legal team with an enforcement arm to ensure that the abortion industry is held accountable! Our partnership ushers in a new era at AUL that brings legal expertise and accountability together to work in congruence. Read more about our partnership with CCS here.
The Chief Impact Officer for CCS, Amy Gehrke, is slated to speak at a legislative review hearing on October 16th regarding the late Leroy Carhart's notorious abortion facility as well as other abortion facilities in Nebraska. |

We have also been formally retained to represent Mrs. Zenaida Perez, a Fairfax County, Virginia public school teacher, who alleged that school personnel were facilitating student abortions without parental notice and consent.
As AUL's Senior Director of Public Relations and Communications, Sarah Zagorski said, "Children need protection and parental guidance. This is especially true when faced with unplanned pregnancy, not forced secrecy by adults attempting to usurp fundamental rights of parents to make decisions regarding the well-being of their children." |

This week, Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) wrote a letter to the Division Superintendent of Fairfax County Public Schools demanding answers.
He said, “Let there be no mistake: a school official pressuring minor students to obtain covert abortions using school funding is illegal." Sen. Cassidy is spearheading comprehensive oversight by the HELP Committee to determine how this could have occurred and who must be held accountable. |

Finally, AUL is hard at work to bring home the over 300 children stranded in China with our partner Lifeline Children's Services. Please take a moment to urge President Trump to raise this issue directly with China's President Xi. |
In July, Sarah Zagorski joined AUL's leadership team as Senior Director of Public Relations and Communications. Read more about Sarah here. Emily Hoegler joined shortly thereafter as Policy Counsel and is a Regent University School of Law alumna. Emily previously served as Deputy Attorney General in the Office of the Indiana Attorney General. This month, Shaohannah Tavares joined the AUL team as our Executive Assistant. She previously worked with both the Center for Client Safety and, before that, Students for Life of America.

Join the Legacy Giving Society |
|
|
|
We are thrilled to be launching the Legacy Giving Society in October during National Estate Planning Month. At Americans United for Life, we believe it serves as a time to reflect not just on how to care for our loved ones, but also how we can support the causes that matter most to us. The best part? Legacy gifts costs nothing now, yet make a profound impact on our mission to defend the unborn and support mothers for years to come. |
