John,
In July this year, we endorsed Randy Villegas for Congress in California’s 22nd District. He’s a true working class champion looking to unseat David Valadao — one of the many Republicans who helped Trump slash Medicaid for millions of families.
But first Randy needs to win his primary, and we just learned something shocking about his Democratic opponent.
According to a new report, Jasmeet Bains — Villegas’ opponent in the Democratic primary — has previously taken more than $250,000 from 53 corporations and corporate PACS that have also contributed to the Republican incumbent, David Valadao. These corporations include Amazon, Exxon Mobil, Google, and Pfizer.
That’s right, both Randy’s Democratic AND Republican opponents have taken money from the same companies that are jacking up prices on working families. The only candidate in this race who isn’t being influenced by corporate money is Randy Villegas. And it’s why we need to have his back.
Randy is facing a crucial FEC fundraising deadline TONIGHT. These deadlines are what donors, organizations, and polls look at to decide which candidates have the infrastructure to win the whole thing. Randy doesn’t have Big Oil, Big Pharma, and Big Tech on his side, but he has you. So please chip in today if you’re able.

Trump and his cronies have spent the last year looting and pillaging working families all around the country. And the biggest beneficiaries have been companies like Google, Amazon, Walmart, and Exxon-Mobil.
These same companies give to both Democrats and Republicans, so that no matter who wins, they get their way.
They buy off politicians in both parties so that they can consolidate market power, drive up prices, and make more money for their shareholders. That’s why it’s so important to elect candidates like Randy Villegas who aren’t beholden to corporate interests.
Because we know he’ll never throw working families under the bus in exchange for some extra campaign contributions.
We know he’ll always put the people first, not special interests.
We know he’ll actually work to hold big corporations accountable for their price-fixing and gouging.
Randy is the only candidate in this race that’s refusing corporate PAC money. Which means he’s relying on supporters like you to make up the difference, $2, $5, or $10 at a time.
If you can afford to, please pitch in right now to Randy Villegas’ campaign before his FEC fundraising deadline at midnight tonight.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
