Meet Florida’s unelected U.S. Senator Ashley Moody, a Ron DeSantis diehard and a dangerous election denier who fought tooth and nail to throw out valid votes in 2020 to keep Trump in power. 

As Florida Attorney General, Ashley Moody eagerly signed on to Texas’ frivolous brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the results of the 2020 election. 

But Moody took an even more hands-on approach to try and steal the 2020 election from Democrats and enact the coup to keep Trump in power: as a high-ranking leader of the “Rule of Law Defense Fund,” she helped organize getting rioters to the Capitol on January 6 to disrupt the electoral vote count. (After the January 6 Capitol insurrection, Moody tried to scrub her association with the group.)

When people like this gain power, they do exactly as you would expect: they use government to make it easier for themselves to keep power, and harder for everyone else to merely survive. 

Ashley Moody in the United States Senate is like hiring an arsonist to fight fires.

In her short time in office, Ashley Moody has already: 

• Voted to cut health care for 4.3 million Floridians 
• Fought for extreme abortion bans that put millions of women’s lives at risk
• Hobbled FEMA by rubber-stamping cuts to disaster preparedness and endorsing Trump’s mass firings of federal workers

Taking back the Senate means that we have to compete, and win, in Florida. That starts with us—it starts by defeating Ashley Moody.
