Right now, we need to do all we can to take back the House in 2026. I am taking nothing for granted, working hard early to ensure that we are ready for the fight.
The chaos, confusion, and damage of the Republican Rip-Off are the result of losing elections in 2024. We lost the House, the Senate, and the White House, and we cannot lose again in 2026.
The current Republican majority has gone all-in on the Trump agenda to slash veterans services, Social Security, school funding, SNAP benefits, disaster relief, workplace safety, clean air and water, uncontaminated food, and more to fund a massive giveaway to the wealthiest corporations and individuals in America.
Before our end-of-quarter deadline, will you donate $3 so we can build a strong campaign that is ready to take on the 2026 elections? Every contribution matters in this fight to protect the families of Northwest Washington.

Despite the devastating harm of this administration, I have sought ways to stand up against the Republican Rip-Off and build the groundwork for the bigger fight in 2026:
* I reintroduced the Veteran Families Health Services Act of 2025. This comprehensive legislation would expand the fertility treatments and family-building services that are covered under servicemembers' and veterans' health care to include — among other things — in vitro fertilization (IVF) and adoption assistance, for servicemembers and veterans who are unable to conceive without assistance, and the option for individuals to freeze their eggs or sperm ahead of deployment to a combat zone.
* The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee approved my bipartisan legislation to reform FEMA, the Fixing Emergency Management for Americans (FEMA) Act of 2025. This legislation provides the most robust legislative reform of FEMA and federal disaster assistance programs in decades. The FEMA Act of 2025 streamlines the federal government's disaster response and recovery programs while also making FEMA a cabinet-level agency once again that is directly accountable to the President.
* I pushed for the release of illegally frozen federal funding: $42 million in funding for several Northwest Washington transportation projects was released by the Department of Transportation, so local governments can move forward with their work
The early work of preparing for 2026 includes seeking victories where possible and strengthening our own campaign. We need to build up the strength to stand strong for the values of Northwest Washington in this coming election. We can do this together.
