The party begins at 2:00 p.m. CT with a meet and greet, appetizers, and drinks. We will begin the formal program at 3:00 p.m. CT. You may register for either of these options here. (Details for the physical location and for the Zoom link will be provided when you

"Ana Garcia-Ashley always organizes from relationship!"

We have been gathering photos, videos, and written pieces that share the story of Ana, the organizer. Rev. David Gerth, Gamaliel’s IVE Lead Organizer, shares a story of Ana training Latina women in St. Louis a few years ago.

We encourage you to submit your celebratory wishes, photos, and stories of Ana. You may upload them here.

Ana Garcia-Ashley has been a passionate organizer for the civil rights of immigrants in this country, leading or participating in actions as captured in these photos: Fast for Families in DC in 2013 and the fight for drivers’ licenses for immigrants in Minneapolis. Ana has also been honored with awards for her work as illustrated by this video of Ana accepting an award at Dominican University in 2014. Thanks to Gordon Mayer, former Gamaliel National Staff member, for sharing these images.

Honor of Ana Garcia-Ashley
