According to a police source, the attack took place around 7:45 a.m. in the town in the northern Essonne region, bordering Val-de-Marne. “Dirty Jew, I’m going to kill you,” the attacker repeated, according to the source. “We are very traumatized by what happened,” Olivier Clodong, mayor of Yerres, told Le Parisienne. “There seems to be no doubt about the antisemitic attack. We hope there will be no aftereffects, especially in his eye.” Germany Deutsche Welle: Ex-AfD aide convicted of spying for China The Higher Regional Court in Dresden convicted Jian G., a German national, of espionage for China on Tuesday. The judges ruled his intelligence activity while working in the European Parliament for far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) politician Maximilian Krah constituted a "particularly serious case" of espionage. Judges found that G. had collected information on party leadership figures while working for Krah between 2019 and 2024, and had transferred partly confidential documents to Chinese authorities. He also monitored Chinese dissidents living in Europe, the judges said. When the Left Party co-leader wanted to go on stage to give a speech, she was "pushed off by a group of Arabic-speaking women".
