*Fall and Pollinators webinar*

The Environmental Quality Board in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Education, the Xerces Society, Metro Blooms, and the University of Minnesota Bee Lab will present a “Fall and Pollinators” webinar. Attendees will learn why the fall season is a critical time for pollinators preparing to survive the winter, how wild pollinators survive cold winters, and actions we can take to help them overwinter successfully.

Environmental Review 101: using the submittal service

Staff will highlight common errors and share troubleshooting tips to help users resolve issues quickly.

The AUAR area is bounded by 490th Street to the north, Trunk Highway (TH) 52 to the west and south, and 195th Avenue to the east. Development scenarios include a Mixed Technology Center/ Light Industrial Scenario (Scenario A) and Technology Center Scenario (Scenario B).

Jackson Township Development Area AUAR Update [ [link removed] ]

*Project description: *The AUAR study area is approximately 2,890 acres in size located to the west and south of current City of Shakopee limits. The AUAR study area includes a range of land uses, from undeveloped open space and recreational areas to commercial and residential development. Several new developments have been built or approved since adoption of the 2020 AUAR. This update accounts for differences between built/approved development and the Build Scenario (Shakopee 2040 Plan) that was part of the original AUAR, as well as updated development/transportation planning projections.

Notice description: Public Utilities Commission In the Matter of the Application of Coneflower Energy, LLC for a Site Permit for the up to 235 MW Coneflower Solar Project in Lyon County, Minnesota; PUC Docket No. IP-7132/GS-24-215 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in an order issued on August 25, 2025, the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission: (1) found that the environmental assessment and the record created at the public hearing addressed the issues identified in the scoping decision; and (2) issued a site permit to Coneflower Energy, LLC for the up to 235-megawatt Coneflower Solar Project in Lyon County, Minnesota.

Minnesota Duty Officer reports pertaining to fish kills are summarized in the following table, in accordance with 103G.216, REPORTING FISH KILLS IN PUBLIC WATERS, Subd. 2 Reporting Requirement. These reports were received via the Minnesota Duty Officer prior to the submission deadline for this edition of the EQB Monitor.
