Hi there,

I won't take up too much of your time on this holiday, but I want to quickly wish you and your family a safe and happy 4th of July!

Today, our celebrations look a little different than past years. For me and my family, that has meant skipping the parades and the "Ben Bus." But we're still taking some time to celebrate this country in our own way, and I hope you and your family are able to spend some time together this weekend and celebrate America too.

I also want to take this opportunity to say thank you. It's been a big week for our campaign, between beating our FEC fundraising goal and finding out our official opponent, and I'm so grateful you were there with us. Thank you for everything you did to get us through this week, whether it was opening our emails, chipping in to our campaign, or just cheering us on.

This is the time to get off the sidelines and play a role in our democracy. That's what this campaign is all about: Keeping our voice in Washington and continuing to put country over party. And that's the most American thing I can think of today.

Thank you for your support and your patriotism.

Wishing you and your family a safe and happy 4th of July!

-Ben (and the whole McAdams family!)
